Arts Academy Classes 2026

Stitch & Share Sewing Class (Grades 2-5)

About: 

In this fun and beginner-friendly sewing class, students in grades 2–5 will learn the basics of hand sewing. Throughout the session, students will complete a series of creative projects—making two of each so they can keep one and give one as a gift! Projects include sewing a tooth-shaped pouch and designing and stitching their very own custom stuffies. This class encourages fine motor skills, creativity, patience, and the joy of creating something handmade. No prior sewing experience required!

 

Colorful Creations: Mosaic Art (Grades K-5)

Dates: Feb. 3, Feb. 5, Feb. 10, and Feb. 12

About:

In this colorful, hands-on art class, students will explore the creative world of mosaics using both real glass tiles and handmade paper “tiles.” Young artists will design and decorate their own flower pot, craft a dazzling mosaic mirror, and create a unique coaster. They’ll also learn how to make custom paper tiles to assemble a beautiful piece of wall art. This class encourages creativity, problem-solving, and artistic expression—all while having fun with vibrant materials and textures!  

Little Heroes K-Pop Dance Club (Grades K-2)

About:

Get ready to move, groove, and battle with dance! In this high-energy workshop inspired by the style and spirit of K-Pop Demon Hunters, young dancers in grades K–2 will learn upbeat choreography, practice rhythm and teamwork, and explore storytelling through movement. Students will dance to kid-friendly K-pop–style music and step into the role of brave heroes using their super moves. No dance experience needed—just enthusiasm and a love for fun!

Junior Stage Crew (Grades 2-3)

About:

Step behind the scenes and help bring the upcoming 2nd and 3rd grade showcase to life! In this hands-on class, students in grades 2–3 will become the official stage crew—designing, painting, and preparing set backdrops, creating props, and learning how backstage teamwork makes a performance shine. Young artists and builders will explore creativity, cooperation, and problem-solving as they help transform ideas into a real stage environment. Perfect for students who love art, building, or just being part of the magic behind the curtain!

Drawing With Your Eyes (Grades 4-5)

About:

In this skill-building art class, students will learn how to truly see like an artist. Young creators will practice drawing with their eyes—learning how to measure proportions, observe shapes, and capture accurate visual details. Through guided exercises using shadows, form, and simple visual tricks, students will discover how to translate what they see into realistic drawings. This class strengthens observation, patience, and artistic confidence, giving students powerful tools to improve any kind of artwork they create.

 

Creative Explorers Art Lab (Grades 3-5)

About:

Dive into a series of fun, hands-on art activities that spark imagination and teamwork! Students will collaborate and experiment with different techniques, including silly animal Mad Libs sketches, abstract shared drawings, puppet making, and salt painting. This class shows that there’s no single “right” way to be creative and encourages kids to think outside the box while having fun.

Beginner Ukulele Studio (Grades 2-5)

About:

In this upbeat and musical class, students will discover the joy of playing the ukulele! Young musicians will learn the basics—including how to hold and tune the instrument, play beginner chords, and use simple strumming patterns. Through fun practice activities and simple songs, students will build confidence, rhythm, and musical understanding. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love for music. Ukuleles will be provided.

LED Art Makers (Grade 5) Two-Session Class

In this hands-on class, fifth graders will explore the exciting intersection of art, design, and simple electronics! Students will learn how to plan, build, and wire their own LED light displays, turning creative ideas into glowing works of art. By the end the course, each student will take home their own LED artwork!

Stars of the Stage (Grades 3-5)

About:

In this lively after-school program, students in grades 3–5 will step into the world of theater! Participants will learn performance skills and work together to rehearse and present a short theatrical piece that blends acting and music. At the end of the session, families will be invited to enjoy a fun performance that showcases the students’ hard work, creativity, and growing love for the performing arts.

The Art of Beautiful Letters (Grades 3-5)

Dates:  Jan. 13, Feb. 3, Feb. 17, and March 10

About:

Students will explore the art of beautiful writing using kid-friendly calligraphy tools. Each week includes guided instruction, creative practice, and opportunities to express themselves through lettering and design. They’ll learn essential calligraphy strokes, faux calligraphy, decorative lettering, simple color-blending and watercolor techniques, and how to plan and create a finished quote-art piece.
